How to put line on a spinning reel | Easy Guide

How to put line on a spinning reel? While this is an important skill for both seasons and beginners alike, you may not know how to do it. But do not despair as we will show you the process.

To begin learning How to put line on a spinning reel,  you have to gather all the stuff that is required.

Assemble all the required gears

Take a line, stick, wheel, and scissors or lumps. Some people also recommend clean cloth and silicone spray. If you don’t have one, don’t worry. It is not necessary.

Put a wheel on the seat

It will be much easier to line up the spinning wheel if it is already in the rod. There is no need to cover all the sections if you have a cracked post. You just need to have at least one line guide.

  • Your spinning wheel
  • Your stick in the wheel
  • Long screwdriver
  • Thick fabric
  • Sharp scissors
  • A friend to help
  • Electric tapeline spool
  • This line should match the weight and strength of your feed, making sure you have enough to fill the tire properly.
  • Whether it is a braid or a monofilament, the method is the same
  • Make sure you have a monofilament spool if you want to use it as a support for your basket

See which line the spool opens:

The easiest way to do this is to put your finger on the spool and hit the handle. To avoid confusion, do this as if you were using a stick.

It’s as simple as that. If the wheel drives a line in a clockwise direction, then the line must come out of the coil in the opposite direction of the clock. The reason is that this will fix most of the line twists. This is especially true of monofilament lines.

Line the line next to the seat:

You may realize that not all anglers do this, but it will make things easier for you. First, the line will come as straight as possible physically. Also, you will be able to control it better this way.

Alternatively, since you need to place the spool line directly below the curve line, moving it to the directory will be very helpful. Some anglers use all the linear guidelines for this, while others do not use one at all.

Turn on bail:

If you need to open bail before you broadcast, it makes perfect sense to open it before entering the queue. You can’t do it any other way.

Tie a line to the spool:

There are many ways to do this. First and foremost is the reliable use of a knot. We strongly suggest going with the arbor knot.

Here you have the step-by-step process:

  • Fold a line around the spool. Make sure you cross the stop line enough.
  • Make a knot over the mainline and a dry line.
  • Make another knot for the top of each stand.
  • Tighten each loop and press the first loop as close to the spool as possible.

Now you know must have gotten a better idea of How to put line on a spinning reel. The steps given above apply especially to spinning reels, which are open face reels, but they are the same steps you will take when you line up on closed face reels.  Just remember to run the line through the hole in the sloping face. Now that you know how to wire the tire, you will be able to reset it whenever you need it.
